The Social Networks’ Bridge Identity Provider is a SAML
standard based service powered by SimpleSAMLphp
and jointly managed by the Division of Catania of the Italian National
Institute of Nuclear Physics and by the Department of Physics and Astronomy of
the University of Catania. The service is hosted at GARR, the Italian National
Research and Education Network.
The Social Networks’ Bridge Identity Provider thus automatically extends to hundreds of millions the number of potential users who can login on an access-controlled web service without the need of re-authenticating them.
Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Windows Live and Yahoo! networks are currently supported. Others might be added upon request.
